Toby combines broad experience as a marketing communications professional with his extensive market research background.   Prior TKA’s founding in 1991, Toby was a co-founder and president of a full service marketing communications, advertising and public relations agency in Stowe, VT.  Among the agency’s clients were the Vermont Lottery, State of Vermont Tourism Agency, Cabot Farmers Cooperative Creamery, Trapp Family Lodge, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Vermont, and Mt. Mansfield (Stowe) Ski Area.

Toby began his career in the world of national politics in Washington, DC as a research assistant and then as a public relations and campaign consultant to congressional and statewide campaigns.  In addition, he served as the Assistant Finance Director of the Republican National Finance Committee.  In 1974 Toby returned to political campaign work as campaign manager for a Vermont U. S. Senate candidate and in 1976 as the director of special constituencies at the President Ford Committee’s national campaign headquarters in Washington.

Toby has been a trainer of qualitative research methodologies.  He holds a Bachelor’s degree in History from the University of Arizona.
